Okay, I get it. The Christian militia is feeling a little insecure these days. They're like, "Well, we're religious nuts but we just don't have that edginess that the Muslims have. We need to zazz up our presentation. I know! Let's plot the multiple murder of several police officers. That'll stick it to 'The Man.'"
I get emails forwarded to me from time to time with spurious anti-Obama items that take nanoseconds to debunk. These bullshit things sent out by right-wingers to stir up exactly this kind of thing. Get the morons riled. I got one recently about a super fancy experimental prison (the Cook County Correctional Center fake). All it takes is two seconds to debunk (http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_cook_county_correctional.htm). It's maddening how lazy-minded and ready for violence these cretins are.
